I’m working on an automated pill dispenser for my BTech project, and I’m kinda stuck at the very first step — designing a reliable dispensing mechanism.

The main issue is that we need to dispense different medicines individually, not using blister packaging, and the pills are of all shapes and sizes. Since it’s just a prototype, we can't design it for one specific tablet type — it has to work for any kind of pill.

We also want the dispenser to be easy to refill because the user might need to load new medicines frequently.

Right now, we’re thinking of a conveyor belt mechanism (attaching the rough design below), but we’re unsure if it’s the best approach. Would love to hear if anyone has tried something like this before or has ideas for a more universal dispensing system.

Any suggestions for the design or tips on how to make refilling simple would be a huge help!
