A long list of unknown software can make it hard to find what you're looking for.
Don't know which of these software would fit your specific needs best? Want a comparison between two or more of the listed CAD possibilities? Well you've found the right place. Ask away!
Hi, I would like to recommend a free 2D drafting CAD package from Solidworks' website (http://www.solidworks.com/sw/products/free-cad-software-downloads.htm). It works well and they have free training as well http://www.solidworks.com/sw/products/draftsight-learning-resources-thankyou.htm
I'm using it at the moment and the commands are very similar to other CAD packages and I think it's not too shabby for a free software package.
Are you referring to Draftsight? I was under the impression most Solidworks software required a purchased license or a limited time, student license. Is Solidwork's 2D drafting package completely free with no need to renew a license?
It completely free, AutoCAD compatible; every once in a while they ask you re-up on their web site
I'm looking for free CAM software and not finding allot of good options. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?
Thanks.
G-simple's site says it's for Windows XP, Vista, and older. Is there anything for Windows 7 or newer?
If you're looking for the designing softwares for free then as per my information all major software with latest features are paid, if you just want basic editing and customization then you can use their free trail, all major software offers 7, 14 or even 30 days free trial. like adobe illustrator
