GrabCAD Groups Feedback

Hi Sanket,

Thank you for your feedback. We do host challenges on the GrabCAD community. But I agree with you that we can host even more fun competitions for the community.

Our new Community Manager - Kesa is going to be working on coming up with new ideas for these challenges. So please let us know any ideas that you might have.

Hello Sir . If the challenge is been taken on daily basis so , the active members will increase . There will be alot of models coming . Not that big competition , but every week and for some cash prize . I am sure it will take the grabcad to more progress . I Think the challenge should be on different topics daily, and If needed sponsorship so contact the company which needs the design and share it here , the best who design , he wins ,. so that the company will get there design and the member will get his prize that company will pay . still have alot of ideas on this things

Exactly...more challenges and competions on different fields..will definitely make Grab cad more intresting....

I don't work at GrabCad, but here are some considerations:

• Challenges are not easy to set up. If I did work at GrabCAD, daily challenges would not be a priority. Even a weekly challenge sounds like too much effort.
• Some small/fun challenges between bigger challenges (i.e. Airbus, NASA, etc...) would be a great idea to keep people looking at the Challenge page.
• No need for cash prizes, the GrabCAD SWAG locker/box has some nice t-shirts, notebooks, decals, and water bottles. Start small and see what the interest level is. Prizes can be adjusted as needed.
• Time. Sure GrabCAD members sink time into the designs, but staff and judges need to spend a lot of time organizing, and reviewing the entries. This is another reason to not have daily or weekly challenges.
• Scroll up... See the little "NEW" flag above Groups? Can that be added to Challenges when a new Challenge is posted? Not forever, maybe a few days or a week at most.
• It would be great to see mini-challenges on different topics: Best rendering of this model, best 2D drawing of this model, best tutorial for this model, best method to solve this design issue, best method to resolve this manufacturing issue.

GrabCAD has a diverse user base, give them some exercise.

Yes I agree Sir . But its our hard work we share it daily , for free . If not cash prize is possible , I think giving Prizes like Grabcad bags , or badges or some thing that promotes Grab cad is a good Idea . More people will dive in here to show there skills and daily new exiting and best models will come up . There are some other websites which are having daily challenges and prizes . As Grabcad is one of the populer website , so I am expecting more .
