i need to transfer my model from rhino to3ds max and texture ans render there. what would be the better way to do it.
Hi Dipesh
Does 3ds max read native rhino files ? Otherwise, ".step" or ".obj" files are good for 3ds Max

I think 3DS can import certain CAD types but if you want nice UVs you'll have to retopo in 3DS. Rhino makes horrible meshes and UVs for any model thats more complicated than a simple sphere or box.
Hi, Dipesh!
You can export your Rhino model to .3ds directly by saving it and changing the format in the save as window. This option will turn your nurbs into a mesh that you'll be able to open in 3DMax.
In my opinion, as Scott told you, Rhino won't save it in a nice-quality mesh by itself, so I would recommend you to perform a "NurbsToMesh" and rebuild it to maximize the shapes of your new mesh to keep a nice quantity of details.

I heard somewhere to use moi3d developed by one of rhino3d developers but I couldn't import model there too. and fbx export takes to much time. I tried using .dwg export but again I have to remap all textures.
And, my other question is which is best wat to take rhino models to unreal engine preserving textures.
