I have a “Master BOM” the purchasing and separate BOMs for each subassembly that is used by the warehouse and shop.

I have to make a configuration for master assembly that is linked to the master BOM and a configuration for each subassembly that is linked to the individual BOMs.

However the “find numbers” of the individual BOMs do not correspond to the “find numbers” with the master BOM. This doesn’t seem to be an issues with the shop.

I have a BOM template that is inserted and linked to the individual views that show only the configuration I want listed in that particular BOM.

So to answer your question I don’t believe you can make the separate BOMs have the same find numbers.

You can add a view of the main assembly on each sheet and use this for the BOM on that sheet. This view would them be hidden as you would only see the views with the different configurations. Does this solve your problem?

Thanks for the suggestion, Les, which is to create a separate BOM on each sheet.  This would work, except for all the formatting and re-ordering of the 60+ part BOM.  I don't want to edit each BOM, as there are too many chances of missing something.  I was hoping to copy & paste with a link to the master BOM (or something like that).

Solidworks 2018: When you RK on the drawing, you can find in properties "Configuration information". Normally the second option is actieve; choose option one and the bom-balloon will follow the information of the linked table. There's no need to copy the table.
