The McMaster Carr catalog is a GREAT resource for SOLIDWORKS (and standard CAD formats) parts and simple assemblies modeled as a single part. They provide a solid model and a draw of most of their inventory.

It might be a good exercise to download "simple assemblies" (modeled as a part) and save off copies to create the individual SLDPRTs and create a new SLDASM.

McMaster Carr is also very usuable as they provide a huge amount of items in various standards, whether you need ASME/ANSI, ISO/EN/DIN, JIS, etc., for flanges, fittings, tubing, fasteners, you name it, it's all there.

If you want practice just look around your home, pick anything and try reverse engineer it, ( pick something with flat faces at first ) get your self some calipers measure it and try duplicate it in 3D, in real file you will model things of a actual part more often than the drawing a lot of time you will need both drawing and a part,
