Does anyone know of any good advanced solidworks tutorials?
I'm looking for some decent solidworks tutorials just to quickly produce some good CAD models...
If anyone can help or give a suggestion it would be appreciated...cheers

Here you have a site with easy to follow Solidworks tutorials in PDF format, even got files to download and such.
Beware that all the (dvd sets) tutorials I came across, are not going to make you an instant expert, but do cover all the basic and essential things you should know about what SW can offer you to achieve what your design intent is. Everything else you will learn by creating something and as aforementioned, following some of the fine free lessons on YouTube.
As you said: "quickly produce some good CAD models... " takes some practice first... After a few years with SW, I still stumble upon small problems but the experience I've got, helps me to overcome these obstacles because I always keep in mind the essential sentence as rule #1: Before you start, you must know how you will finish it.

I have been studying the tutorials from www.video-tutorials.net for a few years. They have a lot of material at youtube also.
Similar to Alistair, I am also looking for a good advanced Solidworks tutorial. I am rather disappointed with the available books and online tutorials. All the SW books I have encountered try to replicate the Help with out trying to explain how SW works. They tend to be full of images, icons, bullets and numbering of items without any proper text. They give you step by step instructions where to click but do not explain on a grand scale what and why you have to do certain actions. Effectively I am looking for a cookery book but there are only recipe books.
I have been using CAD software for 15+ years and right now once I know the principle behind a certain procedure, I can figure out where to click. Clicking is the easy part, understanding is the difficult one.
Ideally I am looking for a 100 pages long book, with very few figures and no bullets or numbering (or icons, balloons, pointing hands, stars or all the other stuff editors do to increase the page count of their books). And I am willing to pay a lot for such a book!

You Tube is a good place also for tutorials, get some video tutorials to change the learning technique around a bit instead of constant reading. Solidworks zen is a good place to start for doing project work type stuff (video format) leansolidworks.com has two very good tutorials, SW Chopper model and the Iphone there are some others simpler ones also. solidworkstutorials.com is a good place to start if you are a newbie. VTN Solidworks tutorials is how I learned. Great if you have double monitors and you can find on torrent sites too. Good luck.
I downloaded a solidworks tutorial videos packaged in a torrent. If you do this make you have a peer-to-peer blocker and a good anti-virus. Good luck. You tube has a lot of good videos too.
A good place to start is YouTube and the tutorials that installs with SolidWorks.
Another thing is to download simple models from here and see how they were made, some were built terribly but after a while you'll be able to recognize that.
There are few good web-sites,like IGETIT ,Solid Professor etc.But you need to pay for the tutorials on these web-sites.If you are very serious about learning Soliworks,I recommend these web-sites.
