How can I automate repetitive part designs using SolidWorks configurations and design tables?

For parts that share geometry with minor variations (like brackets, gears, or flanges), configurations and design tables are essential. I’m looking to automate such tasks but often face issues with broken links or confusing parameter mapping. What is the recommended structure for managing design tables in Excel and linking them to SolidWorks?

In My view design table is the best solution if you are bound to use only solidworks , if you are thinking of removing the issues related to broken links while using design table you must first start with :
1. devise technical relationship between the important components
2. define the parametric constraints of the model/assembly
3. confine the variability in designs
Note : No design can allow every possible variation , the geometries are bound to break because they follow certain equation , if you limit the variations in equations then you have your work done
