How do I simulate with abaqus?
Hi
I'm going to simulate the effect of surface roughness of a steel rod on abrasion of a some plastic gasket ( rod and the gasket have back and forth motion)
I will glad if any body would help me in this.

I think this is Rubber Bearing and SS rotating shaft, may be for submersible centrifugal pump.
before going for simulation, you need to do math calcuation with Static and dynamic frictions for the ribber and steel for steady state cases.
