how do you convert .prt to .ipt files?
I am a college student and the campus i go to uses UGNX7.5...So i have all these .prt files on my home computer that has Autodesk Inventor installed on it...Is there a way to open NX files in Inventor?

I've opened many .prt files in Inventor...it's pretty simple I->Open-> change the file type to .prt and select the file, and Inventor starts chugging away at it.
I've found in the past that sometimes the files don't actually contain a 3D model in them when opened. (this is one of those files) from the file names though I've assumed that it was actually a 2D drawing (note the _dwg in the file name).
I've never tried but perhaps AutoCAD can open them?
