How should i add material density to parts in dynamic analysis of a system in Inventor?

Objective is calculate force acting, velocity , acceleration of the part. The part is in sliding motion with another. So is it possible add friction also?

Yes Mr. Manolis , i tried to define material but couldn't do it. The drop down textbox corresponding to material is inactive and takes no value at all. What should i do?

Density is added if you define the material.

You are in assembly mode and that is why you can't define. Also the drop down menu you are refering to is the colour style which is different from the material. A colour style just changes the way your part looks but a material defines the mass strength and other properties essential in a simulation.
Open each part of your assembly and go to File and from the menu choose iProperties. In the window that apears go to the Physical tab. There you can choose your material. When you define your materials go to your assembly and update it.

Dear Mr. Manolis ,sorry for being very late.....yes you are right ... i'm in assembly mode... there is small issue with the part model that we have only the assembly iges file... all part files got deleted...we tried saving the individual parts by deleting other parts in the assembly... but the part format option was unavailable while saving...modelling again would take a pretty much time..what can be done?
