How to wrap on a sphere in SolidWorks?

Can you wrap on a sphere in SW 11 or 12? I know you can't in 10. Unless someone knows a trick in 10? I'd love to know.

Here you go William, I hope you don't mind Mr. Anneken ...

Maybe this file can help you, is another workaround but in this case you have all non-spherical faces aligned with the center of the sphere.

Now SW 2010 file, listen to w.wolf advise and used thicken cut

Hi Aaron I am sure you can't as it does not work with Inventor and I asked some one if it would work in SW as they were an SW user and they said no....

Not in SolidWorks 2011 and I read about the new features of 2012 and spherical wrap wasn't one of them, what is it that you're trying to make?

Just trying to deboss on a sphere, but I actually just figured out a different way to do it.

It was really nothing. I was trying to wrap an X over a sphere and months ago I was trying to "wrap" it and make it harder than it needed to be. I just made two revolves to make the X. It was one of those DUH moments.

Please see if this is what you want...
