Hello,
Keep in mind that the "G" means that it is a tight conical thread (gas thread) and its real dimensions do not correspond to the nominal one that appears there in inches. For example, the G1/4" thread does not have a diameter of 6.35mm (1/4") but 13.158mm. I leave you an image with the table of dimensions.
A technological detail that supports Jack's proposal:
If we think about the construction process of this part, I think you will agree with me that its "raw" external and internal geometry will arise from some molding process (standard, shell molding, etc).
Clearly then it will require some external and internal machining, tapping, etc.
But all the "raw" internal cavity will emerge from a kind of "noyo /core?" (piece added to the mold to produce a cavity).
From this point of view, the procedure proposed by Jack is very real and equivalent to building that "core" to obtain the internal cavity in the piece. In fact, in a foundry shop, the aforementioned "noyo" should be built with a drawing similar to that of the solid that Jack used to perform the subtraction Boolean operation (of course, without the final measurements and details that actually arise later by machining).
Hello,
I am attaching a part drawn in SolidWorks 2017 that I think can help you if you look at its operations tree (which is not unique, different designers would approach the part in different ways).
The views you provided are not enough to fully define the shape of the lower cavity, which is why I assumed some of its dimensions.
Hope this can help you.
Best regards!
