It doesn't open project path

Sometimes Inventor doesn't default to the project path, especially if you have opened a file from another folder (from another project or from downloads). I find it better to manually navigate back to the project folder path, and next time it will look in the right place. Also, copy part files that you want to use in your project into the project folder, and it will be less likely to direct you to the original file location.

I find that when using inventor, very strict file and folder management is required. Deleting old or unrequired parts, or duplicates of existing parts, and naming your files is better than keeping the default file names like part1 or assembly1.

Another point, is to keep your part files in easy to find folders inside the main project folder, to avoid lost work or duplicated work.
