need a new software
Hi,
I am designing knives and up until now I have been using solidworks.
I now that it is not the best software for this type of work so I want to start working on a better optimised software for the job.
does someone have a suggestion regarding a cad software that can help me?

What's wrong with SolidWorks?
If you dont like solidworks then use catia you can get good surface finish.
Surfaces can be difficult in SOLIDWORKS, but I'm not sure you'll find many alternatives which are easier.
Are you looking to make organic shapes? That is where I'd say the limitation in SOLIDWORKS exists.
Are you planning to use the CAD data for manufacturing? That is one of the strengths of SOLIDWORKS.
Post some images of what you are planning to design and I'm sure people will have some suggestions.
