Sheet metal defaults in Inventor
When I add create a sheet metal part with multiple folds is there any possible method of removing the bend relief defaults so that when it flat patterns it is basically just a square with no bend relief at all. I have already adjusted the sheet metal defaults to make them minimal but they still appear in the flat pattern.

Go to sheet metal defaults-sheetmetal rule and change your default setting click on pencil and then adjust your Bend (Bend relief settings)
Try changing the relief shape to tear in the Corner Tab of the sheet Metal Defaults.
