Why can't I do a swept with two guide curves when having a circle for a profile in SW?

I'm not sure, but I guess you're trying to do a profile sweep on two different paths with a single profile. Try creating one sweep, make a new profile coincident with the first one and add the second path, and do the second sweep... That should work.
