Bracelet Tutorial


This is rather a MBD (Modeling Breakdown) of our bracelet model, whose files you can find here:

This a very old model I did a long time ago. But still a challenge for a lot of 3D designers even today. In that time I learned a lot by modeling this bracelet.
I hope it will be useful and improve your vision of how to model certain items.

Step 1: Some initial comments...
Some comments on this particular article.
It is a piece to be worn as an ornament on the wrists, so it has to be attractive, and should not have sharp edges.

Step 2: The Initial Approach...
You see, again we use an unusual command, and very little known to most SolidWorks users. The Wrap command. It is interesting the amount of possibilities that arise from it.

Step 3: Deleting the Unwanted Face...
We also cut the surface in two, because for me it is easier to work only one side, and then mirror it to complete the model.
