How do I scale a model in Inventor?

:)
Step 1:
1.Open up a new IPT
Step 2:
2. When that opens click the green tick so that is goes out of sketch model and in to feature mode.
Step 3:
3. goto the DERIVE
Step 4:
4. open the model you want to scale
Step 5:
5. input the scale
Thanks :D
Genius!
Excellent explanation
Is there any reason why there is no such thing as a 'scale' function in the ribbon? Why can't I make a model, then just scale it down to 97% if I need to?
thank.
awesome thank you!
Jason, you can do that. Under the following tab 3D Model-Modify-Direct button. This will allow you to scale your part file without needing to derive the part. This will just be a another feature in your feature tree that you can easily modify.
Worked great.
Seriously thank you so much!!!!
I used this to be able to use the A360 app and have my boss view assemblies.
I could not get IAM files to open on it. Kept saying parts and references were missing. Now this works great and it lets me isolate parts and remove them all on the app. This is gonna be great for my boss to give me real input straight from his phone.
Nice one
I've been looking for a solution for this problem ever since Autodesk messed up the SAT conversion scale. All my legacy designs going back to 1998 were in Mechanical Desktop so I occasionally need to convert the old SAT files into Inventor parts. Thanks for the solution.
Thanks! I always used it inside shrinkwrap. In 2019 it has disappeared from there. Glad to find it in derived!
thank
