How to Change the Default Prefix for Power Input


The default prefix is taken into account only if no prefix is typed in the power input box.
If you leave the value none, it means that there is no default prefix.
Step 1: Go to CATIA V5 - Options

The list contains the following predefined prefixes:
last entered
The default prefix is the last prefix you typed in the power input box
c: as command:
The default prefix is c: which lets you run commands. Refer to Running Commands for more information

I didn't know there was a default prefix. But with all the various prefixes that could be used; it's easier for me to just type in whichever prefix I need, as compared to trying to remember which one is default.
I agree, I usually have mine set for commands as those are the ones that I most frequently use.
