How to create .fbx, .skp, .stl and many more files using simlab composer

In this tutorial i'll show how to create .fbx, .stl or other (.skp, .obj, .oae, .3ds etc) files from sldprt files.

  1. Step 1:

    if you have sim lab composer then this will be your work interface. Might vary from version to version.

  2. Step 2:

    Click Import or ctrl+i

  3. Step 3:

    Select your desired file.

  4. Step 4:

    This will be the file after it is being converted

  5. Step 5:

    Click Export

  6. Step 6:

    and select your desired file output and then you have your required file format

    nice! is there any way to do reverse (.stl to .SLDPRT) of course with volume not surfaces.

    it can be done in solid works. when you open a .stl file into solid work, if any pop up doesn't show up then go to Save As option and save it as sldprt. You cant see the features that have been used to make that stl file
