Tutorial: How to add part to part

1. Step 1:

   go to insert>>part
   

   

2. Step 2:

   select the part that you want to add
   

   

3. Step 3:

   add mates like in assembly
   

   

4. Step 4:

   The added part features will add end of the feature tree.

   I think this function would be usefull for you. you can try to save assembly as part. but to do this sometimes convert bodies to surface as I see.
