The derive command allows you to use models and assemblies as geometry and toolbodies within other part files. For 3D printing it's a perfect way to section complex parts so they can be printed in simpler pieces. Subsequent operations can be performed on the derived part without affecting the original source models and assemblies. Sketches, workplanes, and other work features may also be used from the source models.

- After draw Starfruit Basin model ( see at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqTg08YkGnA&t=47s ), we will try to create core cavity for this mold. - Use polypropylene plastic with 2% shrinkage to added in this product. - After split core cavity, we need add revolve surface to split cavity for interlock. - Add frre space at 1mm for outer mold as gap.

Welcome back to CADable. This is Engr. Ibrahim Omer and today I will teach you how to make exploded view animation in SOLIDWORKS. This tutorial will be comprised of two parts. In the 1st part we will be making exploded animation. Later we will export our animation to Keyhsot for realistic rendering. In motion study I will show you how to add keyframes and keypoints. We will also split object surfaces in Keyhshot for the application of materials on different surfaces. It is a good exercise for beginners and it will be a good practice for beginners.
