The organization designs and manufactures wagons for the Indian Railways and other clients. I gained insights into the whole manufacturing process starting from design to production. I worked in the R & D dept. and acquired skills in the field of computer-aided static and dynamic analysis of railway wagons through various projects. I assisted as a design analyst in the process of designing 20/80 and Coil Wagon. The work flowchart was to study the detailed drawings of the wagons, make their 3D solid models, conduct static structural analysis and dynamic analysis (conducting the oscillogram tests to check comfort, accelerations and prevent derailment). Software worked on includes PRO E, Ansys and Adams Rail.

One Month Industrial Summer Training. The organization produces arms and ammunitions for Indian Armed Forces. I learned the functioning of production systems, CNC Machines and various operations such as milling, drawing, forming, electroplating, drilling, turning, blanking, punching etc. A project on Process Optimization in Blanking and Cupping Operations was done; focused on optimizing blanking and cupping process by minimizing material wastage. Modified die and punch (with blueprints) were designed after detailed observation.
