I recently installed SolidWorks 2019 and modelled a part which I tried importing to KeyShot 7 and later tried with KeyShot 8.1. I am getting the following error. I tried importing files of SolidWorks 2017 versions which opened fine. I really need help with this one as I recently completed an assembly and wanted to create animations in KeyShot.
As a temporary fix, you could always export the assembly in .step, and import it in Keyshot.
Dear Brage,
Thanks a lot for your suggestions will do the same. Do you have any idea on why it doesn't support?
Best regards
Arjun

Oh its fine. Thanks for your time. I will post there as well.
hello my friend, you can export as step file or as obj if you want to keep the materials, colors etc.
A. ... SolidWorks 2018 and prior (.prt, .sldprt, .asm, .sldasm) ...
Save your SW model as a Step file (214), then import to Keyshot.
Dear Michael,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I did the same and it works.

This has been an issue for years with different programs, Inventor had it for a long time you just had to save as a step file.
