Hi Alex, the real PCB seems to have a length of 43.4mm and width of 21mm. Your PCB dimensions are 40mm x 19.09mm. Do you have another LM2956 board or is there a problem on my side (inch/mm units problem)? I assume you have used mm, not inches. Thanks for this awesome upload.
Hey Till, I'll assume you were talking to me since I made it :) Just measured my board right now - it's about 40 (or closer to 40.5 actually) by 19.5 millimeters. I believe they were supposed to be 40 by 20 originally, but the factory didn't cut them precisely. So I'd expect a deviation anywhere from -1 to +1 mm. in real PCBs you get. You can tailor yours to a specific size that you got, if you import STP file. Alternatively, I can upload the full source in Autodesk Inventor 2018 if you'd like.
Oh yes, sorry. Vadim, I am talking to you ;) I have googled LM2596 on AliExpress and Ebay and i can only find the dimensions of Dimensions 43mm * 21mm * 14mm (L * W * H). That's very close to my measured 43,4mm * 21mm. I dont think there is a standard but if there was this would be it. The reason i asked is because i had trouble making it fit in KiCAD (Electronic CAD). By the way: The pad drill hole distance is 40mm by 17.8mm on my PCB. I have taken a closer look at your PCB and it looks slightly different from what I have (position and orientation of the smd diode) I have already imported your step file in Fusion 360 and try to tailor it for me. Sources are always useful for others. I recommend you add them as well. Thanks for your answer, buddy.

Hi Till,
Will you share the modified model with the "correct" dimensions?
Бесспорно, сделано красиво, но мне попадались только такие.
Что-то мне подсказывает, что монтажные отверстия должны быть наоборот.
Посмотрите на картинку 2 и 3 :-)
Awesome!
