Draftsman & ECO Coordinator

At JEM I did a lot of the drafting, and was the primary creator of all production drawings. In addition to drafting I managed/coordinated all of the ECOs that went through.
At JEM I also assembled hydraulic manifolds, and designed hydraulic manifolds. Each of those jobs I did for about a year on top of my drafting and ECO duties.
JEM is a hydraulic manifold distributor.

I remember being thoroughly surprised that Best Buy had an engineering group when they called me for an interview. I worked at Best Buy as a draftsman mostly with fixtures and fixture assemblies while also going to college at NTI.

At NTI we had a year of SolidWorks classes and a year of PRO-E classes. We focused on becoming good drafters and good designers.
I highly preferred SolidWorks while in school, and still do out of school.
