How do I turn on / off Solidworks search toolbar?
Is there a way to turn on and off the Solidworks Search toolbar? It is on top of the current part name. and it would be nice to reclaim that area of the desktop when working with multiple databases. It thought it would in the list of toolbars, but I can't find it.

You can indeed remove the Search bar:
Tools > Options, under "System Options" tab select "Search", at the top right you should see an option "show SOLIDWORKS search box". Turn this off.
You can right click on the bar and customize to remove any of the icons. The SolidWorks icon and the Search bar don't have an option to be removed.
