how to emboss in catia

embossing is difficult in catia than solid works

Agree, if you are talking about CATIA V5 which doesn't have a sketching tool for letters like SolidWorks does. Good news is that feature is now added in V6.

Once you have a sketch, both systems are similar in embossing capabilities.
