Tutorial to use rib feature in Autodesk Inventor?-Lesson 2

1. Step 1:

   Sketch an L shape and exit the sketch mode.
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Click on extrude command.
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Extrude the profile to a certain limit according to your requirement.
   

   

4. Step 4:

   Plane-> midplane between two parallel planes.
   

   

5. Step 5:

   Select the two side planes to create a plane in the middle.
   

   

6. Step 6:

   Invoke a new sketch on the plane.
   

   

7. Step 7:

   sketch a line to perform the rib. Exit the sketch.
   

   

8. Step 8:

   Click on rib.
   

   

9. Step 9:

   Choose "parallel to sketch plane" option in the rib dilog box. Provide some thickness. Select the side to provide thickness or select axisymmetry.
   

   

10. Step 10:

    Select "finite" to get a rib as shown in the figure.
